Alumni Stories

Kasey Baker, Program Coordinator for Safe Avenues, participated in the Class of 2016.  Her supervisor, an alumni from the Inaugural Class of 2015, encouraged her to apply because of the valuable tools and experiences the program offered.  This is what Kasey has to say about Vision 2040 Leadership:

"The Vision 2040 Leadership program provided a transformational experience. The facilitators helped to create the space necessary for us to be reflective and ultimately empowered to engage in life, work, and our community in ways we never imagined. I gained new skills in facilitation and coaching. I walked away with tools that could be immediately used for team building and development. I made new friends. I developed a new network of resources. I did it all while learning more about the Willmar Lakes Area and why I’m so proud to say that this is where I live, work, and play."

From our community volunteers

I am excited to make a difference and feel confident to do so!

Alumni, Inaugural Class of 2015

I made connections with community members and found many common visions.  I have begun to get more active in the community due to the connections.
